This is tested under Ubuntu Linux:
ffmpeg -i moviet.flv -f mp3 sound.mp3
If you dont have ffmpeg, type "apt-get install ffmpeg" first.
In Ubuntu 12 ffmpeg seems to be deprecated and replaced by avconv. Try avconv first, it might already be installed.
You might need to "apt-get install libavcodec-extra-53" to get the mp3 encoding working.
For example, to extract the sound of a YouTube movie:
1) Delete your Browser-Cache
2) Watch the Movie
3) Go to your Cache folder
4) The big file in there ist the movie
5) Convert it to mp3 as described above |
